Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the formal process for recognising experience gained before entering an RACP training program. Different policies apply depending on your curriculum and training stage.

The RPL policy has been updated to align with New Curricula principles. Learn about the changes.

Basic Training

For trainees enrolled in Basic Training from 2025 onwards under the New Curricula.

Advanced Training — New Curricula

For trainees enrolled in Advanced Training program under the New Curricula.

Advanced Training — PREP

For trainees enrolled in an Advanced Training program under the PREP curriculum.
